Colombo to Arugam Bay via Highway (Expressway Route)
If you’re looking for the fastest and most comfortable way to travel from Colombo to Arugam Bay, the expressway route is the best option for most of the journey.
Here’s how the route works:

Start from Colombo – Begin your journey from the city or Colombo Airport.

Enter the Southern Expressway (E01) at Kottawa.

Drive along the Expressway passing through Matara, then take the Mattala/Hambantota Exit (you’ll switch to the E06 extension towards Mattala).

From Mattala/Hambantota, you continue the journey on A2 and A4 roads through Monaragala, Siyambalanduwa, and finally reach Pottuvil/Arugam Bay.
